The RING AWARD is the largest international competition for direction, stage, and costume design in musical theater and is announced triennially. Project management: art + event | Theaterservice Graz

The RING AWARD is the largest international competition for direction, stage, and costume design in musical theater and is announced triennially. Project management: art + event | Theaterservice Graz

For over three decades, it has promoted the diversity and innovative power of young artists and is considered an international career springboard. It is organized by Bühnen Graz – Graz Opera, Schauspielhaus Graz, Next Liberty, and art + event | Theaterservice Graz, in cooperation with the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Unique in the world, it leads to a concrete stage production of the competition opera as early as the finale.

Art finds the city

Since 2015, KLANGLICHT, the Festival of Sound and Vision by Bühnen Graz, has been transforming the Styrian capital into a world of art, music, color, and light, captivating thousands of people every year.

In close cooperation with the organizer team of Bühnen Graz GmbH, art + event | Theaterservice Graz organizes and designs numerous sub-areas related to Klanglicht: regulatory coordination, catering, and the management of the event as a certified Green Event are handled in the Culture, Event, and Marketing Service department.

Great entertainment at the Graz Opera

Since 2004, art + event | Theaterservice Graz has been realizing major guest performances and commercial stage formats at the Graz Opera together with international partners from the show and entertainment industry.

Under the brand SHOW IN DER OPER, international musical productions, shows, and extraordinary stage formats are on the program, especially in the first weeks of July, bringing great entertainment to Graz.
Together with the Graz Opera and the respective production partners, art + event takes over the organizational and technical implementation and ensures that the Graz Opera presents itself as a stage for international entertainment.
